VALUABLE SIGHTS

Bratislava castle
Historical dominant of the city. It obtained the present-day shape with the central archery and 4 corner towers in the 15th century during the reign of Ugrian king Žigmund Luxemburský, nowadays a museum.

Primaciálny palace
Classicistic palace, in Zrkadlová Hall was signed so-called Prešporský Peace between the emperors Napoleon and František I. Unique collection of wall gobelins, exposition of the paintings of past centuries.

The Old Town Hall
Originally a gothic house, since the 15th century The Town Hall (as a result of integration with other houses), today it is the Municipial museum.

Michalská gate with the tower
The only remaining gate of the medieval municipial fortification, nowadays an exposition of weapons and municipial fortification.

Mirbachov palace
Rococo treasure of architecture with an exposition of baroque paintings and sculptures from the half of the 19th century with unique works by French, Italian, Dutch and German engravers.

Grassalkovichov palace
Originally garden baroque palace is nowadays the residence of the Slovak president.

Academia Istropolitana
The first university on the area of Slovakia, founded by Ugrian king Matej Korvín in 1465, national cultural monument, today University library.

St. Martin's temple
Coronation gothic temple from the beginning of the 14th century, at the top of 85 metres tall tower is a gold-plated cushion on which is 1 metre tall and with the weight 300 kg imitation of Ugrian royal crown.
