| Principles of movement on Danubian cycling route and Moravian cycling routePrinciples of behaviour at protective barrages and in inundation of watercourse.
Danubian cycling route and Moravian cycling route are a part of the network of the best-known European cycling routes. Routes mostly go by protective barrages of rivers and barrages of waterworks, eventually in their inundation. Protective barrages are the objects, which specify space intended to transform a flood flow on watercourses and at the same time they subserve the flood-protection function of a line element in the system of flood-protection.
In regard to their important sociable function the basic principles for protection and use of protective barrages as well as the use of inundation area are regulated by legislative regulations, especially law number 138/1973 from the Collection of laws from 31st October 1973 about waters (Water Law) decree of the government SSR number 32/1975 from the Collection of laws from 26th March 1975 about the flood-protection, regulation of MLVH SSR number 23/1977 from the Collection of laws about the protection of the quality of underground and surface waters and other related regulations. Every visitor of a protective barrage and watercourse should take into account the following facts:
Movement on accessible parts of water service objects is at visitor's own risk and the administrator of these objects is not responsible for the safety and property of these visitors.
At mutual encounter of tourists in opposite directions (cyclists, skaters) at the barrage apply Road Traffic Regulations, whereas there is applied a mutual tolerance.
In the course of the whole year the administrator of the objects belonging to watercourse carries out various maintenance works together with his employees or by means of supply and service organisations. At the same time different types of mechanization are used, which can limit movement of visitors (pedestrians, cyclists, skaters and etc.) at the barrage. They are obliged to accept and respect directions of watercourse administrator and other workers of Danubian river-basin.
It is not allowed to damage the body of a barrage and its equipment including grassy vesture of the barrage slopes and its fields.
It is forbidden to damage in any way objects and equipment situated on them (for example lighting, probes, gage panicles, signs, information tables, shaft covers, barriers etc.).
Manipulation with technological equipment on the objects by strangers is forbidden.
It is forbidden to pollute protective barrage, objects and built up shelters, to do activities which could cause the pollution of undeground and surface waters and to make waste dumps
When opening and closing barriages it is necessary to pay a higher attention to their near surroundings because there is a risk of construction damage and people's injury..
In case of flood activities the movement and ride on the water service objects and at barrage space is forbidden. Owing to possible risks to health and property during floods it is necessary for visitors to observe water levels and according to them adjust their activities (information through massmedia, www sites, www.pod.sk, dispatching of Danubian river-basin 602 92 332, SHMÚ).
In case of breach of this ban the watercourse administrator is not responsible for damages caused on the property neither for any physical injuries
Infraction of regulations in the section of water services will be resolved by financial sanction accorging to valid legislation.
